1. Apple Standard License Agreement
If you downloaded Everygrid from the Apple App Store, your use of the app is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA).

In case of any conflict between these terms and Apple's Standard EULA, Apple's terms shall prevail for App Store downloads.
2. Who these terms are between
These terms are between you and the maker of Everygrid, Business ID 3496856-2 ("we", "us").
By installing or using Everygrid you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app — and if you have already paid, see §7.
Where you got the app matters too. You also agreed to terms with Apple or with Google when you downloaded it. Those cover the download, the payment and the refund. Where their terms and ours conflict about a purchase, theirs win — we do not take your money and cannot give it back (§7).
3. What Everygrid is
A habit tracker. You create habits, you mark the days you did them, and the app draws a grid of your record.
Everygrid keeps your habits on your device. If you choose to switch sync on, it writes files into a folder in your own Google Drive, so that your devices show the same record. There is no Everygrid account and no server of ours. What that means for your data is set out in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
4. What you can do with it
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Everygrid on the devices you own or control, for as long as these terms are in force.
That is a licence to use the app. You do not own the app itself, and the app's code, design and name remain ours.
5. What you must not do
- Do not resell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app.
- Do not reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except where the law says you may despite this clause.
- Do not use it to break the law, or to interfere with Google's services or ours.
- Do not try to defeat the paid-tier limits by tampering with the app.
6. Your habits are yours
You own what you write in Everygrid. We claim no rights over your habits, your notes, or your history.
We do not receive them, so we cannot use them, sell them, publish them, train anything on them, or hand them to anyone. This is not only our policy: Google's Limited Use requirements bind us permanently, and they forbid transferring or selling data obtained through the Google API to advertising platforms, data brokers or information resellers, forbid using it to serve ads, and forbid humans reading it without your affirmative agreement. Anything derived or aggregated from it is covered too.
You can get at your data at any time, without paying: with sync on, the files in your Google Drive are yours to open, read and copy in a documented open format, and the app links you straight to them. A dedicated Export a copy — one file written wherever you choose, without sync — is planned for a later version and is not in this one. You can delete your data at any time. All of these controls are described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Money
7.1 The free tier
Everygrid is free to use, with sync included, up to a limit on the number of habits — currently 3. The free tier is permanent: it is not a trial, there is no countdown, and no feature is withdrawn from it later.
7.2 The paid tiers
Unlimited habits are available two ways:
- an annual subscription, which renews automatically until you cancel; and
- a one-time lifetime unlock, which does not renew.
The price, the period and the renewal terms are shown to you before you buy, in the app.
7.3 Who takes the payment
Apple and Google do — not us. All purchases go through the App Store or Google Play, as their rules require. We never see your card details, your billing address or your name, and we keep no purchase record of our own — the app asks the store, on your device, whether it is entitled to the paid features. What we do see is what every developer sees: aggregate sales figures in the stores' own dashboards, which do not identify you. Privacy Policy §3.5 says this in full.
7.4 Cancelling and refunds
You cancel a subscription through Apple or Google, not through us, because they hold the subscription. The app puts that flow two taps away in Settings, and we consider making the exit hard to be a defect rather than a tactic.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. We cannot issue one, because we never received the payment. If something is wrong, write to us anyway (§13) — we would rather know.
7.5 Price changes
If we change prices, the new price applies to new purchases and to renewals after the change, and the store will tell you before a renewal at a new price. A lifetime unlock you have already bought stays bought. We will not convert it into a subscription.
8. What we promise, and what we do not
We would rather be accurate than reassuring, so this section is specific.
8.1 Sync
Everygrid is built so that edits made offline on two devices merge rather than overwriting each other, and this is the part of the product we have worked hardest on.
But sync depends on Google Drive, on your network, and on your devices — none of which we control. We do not promise that sync will always be available, always be instant, or never fail. When it fails, the app is built to tell you and stop, rather than to guess and lose something.
Keep your own backups of anything you would be upset to lose. Your habit files are plain text in your own Google Drive precisely so that you can. Note too that a new Android phone does not restore Everygrid's local data from a Google backup, while an iPhone restore does — Privacy Policy §8 sets out which platform does what, and sync is the only thing that covers both.
8.2 Reminders
Everygrid can remind you, but reminders are delivered by your operating system's scheduler, not by us. Phones deliberately delay and batch notifications to save battery, and on Android a reminder may arrive up to about an hour late and will be held while the device is in Doze.
We do not promise a reminder will arrive at a particular minute, and you should not rely on Everygrid for anything where timing matters. We say this here and in the app's own reminder settings, and we deliberately do not advertise reminder punctuality as a feature, because no app on these platforms can honestly guarantee it.
8.3 Health
Everygrid is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition, and nothing in it is medical advice. It does not read from Apple Health, Health Connect, or any wearable. It records what you type.
8.4 The app in general
Beyond what we have said above, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", with all faults and without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties and conditions, whether express, implied, or statutory, including the implied warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. Your use of the app is at your sole risk.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep every right the law of your country gives you, and nothing here takes those rights away.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses or expenses arising from your misuse of the app or your breach of these terms.
11. Ending these terms
You can stop at any time by deleting the app. Deleting the app does not delete the files in your Google Drive — the Privacy Policy explains how to remove those.
We may end your licence if you seriously break these terms. If we do, you keep your data: it is in your Drive and on your device, not in our hands.
We may also stop offering Everygrid. If we do, the files in your Drive remain yours, in a format you can read, without us. That is a large part of why the app was built this way.
12. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant we will say so in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it — but see §7.5 for the promise about a lifetime unlock you already own.
13. Governing law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
